I have never been someone to excel in planning and preparing things that I want to create. This is because I am much better at doing things on the fly and adding and implementing elements to projects without thinking about it too much.

I do realise that planning a project is very necessary as it grounds you and gives you a clear direction to take something in; instead of trying to link ideas together that may not necessarily all fit together so by not having a clear plan you are probably giving yourself a harder time than what you would have if you had a good plan. However doing something on the fly is something that I have gotten used to.

However I have done some planning in the form of mainly concept sketches, some practice animations, some storyboards and an action plan of what I'd like to do in the following weeks; however this action plan is probably going to change rather extensively as I haven't put in a space to sort out the sound I need for the animation and I will need to do that at some point.

My planning has improved from the other projects I have done as in those projects I barely did any planing at all because I didn't think that it would help me that much and I was very wrong as if I planned for those projects I would have made something a lot better, admittedly I did have some technical errors in those projects that I didn't know how to avoid but if I had planned I may have known how to work around these problems.

This time around I know that planning is very important to make anything creative as it gives you a clear path to follow and you have a better image in your head of how to go about actually creating your animation or whatever you're doing.

A test animation of the beginning of "Fraser" where I am just testing out the outline effect when I first thought of doing it, in this animation it is not very good at all because I hadn't figured out the smoothing attribute and I wasn't confident in animating on Adobe Animate yet.
