I definitely think that in terms of research I have improved a lot from the other projects I have done. This is because in this project I actually understand the importance of research and how much it can actually help you when making something. In other projects I neglected to acknowledge this so I wrote research off as something that wouldn't help me at all. However now that I understand how to do research properly I realise how much it can influence ideas and inspire you when you make something of your own.

This is very true for me because I was heavily inspired by my research and it influenced my ideas and gave me something to strive towards and the direction I wanted my animation to take.

The things that inspired me was mostly through secondary research: watching videos, reading articles. etc. Secondary research is not the best type of research for me as it is difficult for me to see progress and that I am actually learning. This is because I learn much better through actually doing things and seeing if it works rather than trying to take something from things that other people have created .

This is because if I try to emulate what they have done too much I may think that I am not doing well because I am trying to do what they have done when I should focus on what I am able to do well. However it is good to challenge yourself with research and think "How can I incorporate this into my own work?" Or something along those lines. However I never let the research get in my way. I always took elements from it and made my animation my own while being inspired by the research I did.
