Shown above is the link to my Project Proposal Document. What this entails are my first ideas for what I want to do for my Final Major Project, my inspirations, my references and the problems I feel I may face when creating my animation.

My Project Proposal Document went through a few different iterations before I was happy with the final form of it. I had feedback from some of my classmates and they indicated to me that it was mostly good, just that on my first draft I needed to explain more about the animation that I wanted to do and to reference the creators more and to cut down the reference list as I wrote to many comments on how they inspired me instead of just listing them in Harvard format.

Overall I am happy with my Project Proposal Document because I feel like I went into depth for both of the ideas that I had and how I was inspired by them. I also explained how I was going to evaluate my project.

I do feel like I did write too much for my Project Proposal Document though. This is because I feel that I may have reiterated points that I stated before and I could have not babbled as much in it and made it concise. However I don't think this detracts too much from the Project Proposal Document as a whole.

This is because I was still able to get all of my points across in detail and explain my inspirations and my worries about the project and what I think will go well. I just could have gotten to the point quicker.

After Giselle had read through my project proposal she gave me a few comments about how I could improve the project proposal.
The ways she said that I could improve it was by researching more out of the box and unorthodox methods and explaining them like I did with the others. So essentially research in different way than just watching YouTube videos.
Another way she said I could improve was by going into more detail when speaking about the computer animation I was thinking of doing and how I could link this to my chosen theme of corrosion. I think that doing this would be a very good idea as doing computer animation is seeming more inviting to me as I think I could link it to the theme easier and the uncomfortable/ uncanny atmosphere I’m going for more easily than stop frame animation.
She also mentioned just to add on a task timetable which I am going to do but I can’t at this date because I don’t really have a plan of action just yet.

Giselle did say that the way I interpreted the task and the way I presented my ideas was creditable and made a lot of sense and I explained in detail the points that I put across ans my aims that I will be trying to achieve when creating the final project. Another thing she mentioned was that my research just wasn’t very inspired as it just consisted of watching YouTube videos and explaining them and I agree with this observation.
I do need to research using different methods but I have never been good at research as I usually get distracted while doing it and this is something I need to get better at because good research which is relevant to what I’m doing could really help me make a better product. Opposed to when I would usually brush off research for winging something which I am learning is something that you usually would not want to do.
