This is part 1 showing the first scene and a half (give or take) of "Angela." The animation is going to open on a slow zoom of Angela's coffin and quickly switch to showing a full body shot of Fraser standing in a graveyard looking solemnly at what you could assume to be Angela's coffin. There will then be a zoom onto Fraser to get a closer look at his expression and then I will try to use the camera and rotate around Fraser to transition to a scene where it shows his profile and a figure in the distance standing on the path.

There then will be a quick fade to black and when the scene returns it would show a closer image of the figure and you would see that it is a young girl. Afterwards in the next scene it would show the young girl lifting her head up from looking down to look at the camera. She would smile and then fade away. Leaving just the background remaining, then the scene would fade to black and the title would show.

The shot showing Angela has brighter colours and seems more happy is because that now she has passed she is free and able to "live" without the burdens she experienced in her life. Whereas the shots with Fraser are more muted colours and he isn't coloured in properly to represent that without Angela his life has lost colour and he doesn't know how to move on.

In this scene there is going to be rain falling so that is something I will need to research how to animate and how to animate it falling off an umbrella. I have done this to give the scene a somber emotional feel. This will be amplified by Fraser being isolated and almost encased in between branches and grave with muted. This will achieve a lonely vibe to this scene. I want to create these effects because my themes I want to explore are guilt/survivor's guilt and the deteriorating mental stability of somebody after they experience a damaging loss. Having a lonely and somber emotional feel to the scene will help to put across these themes and link them to loneliness and the emptiness somebody can feel and the rain and minimal colours will help do this because rain is usually associated with sadness and muted colours can usually represent a loss of vibrancy and life.

The sound in this scene is going to be diagetic as I want to create a more real feeling animation along with my scratchy; cartoony style of drawing . The sounds I am going to have are just the sound of rain falling on the grass and a soft sound of wind passing through trees and perhaps the crunch of stepping on grass if either of the characters move.
